Novia Black+ Supreme 125gsm Roof and Wall Breather

Product Overview

Novia® Black+ Supreme Roof and Wall Breather Membrane is a high quality, strong and versatile breather membrane for all pitched cold and warm roofs, as well as insulated wall applications. The material meets EN 13859-1 for pitched roofing and EN 13859-2 for walls. Novia® Black+ Supreme has excellent water resistance but still provides high breathability. It also complies with EN 13501-1 Fire Classification Class E. The product is completely black on one side, grey on the reverse, with no text or images, except for a 150mm overlap line.

Novia® Black+ Supreme meets the requirements for UKCA marking, originally introduced under the 2013 Construction Products Regulations with CE marking. Under this European directive, all products covered by a current hEN (harmonised European Norm) must comply with the new standard. Third party accreditation is no longer sufficient. This has been adapted to UKCA following the UK departure from the EU.

Novia® Black+ Supreme is suitable for use in BS 5534 wind uplift applications. Following successful tests, Novia® Black+ Supreme can be used in zones 1 - 3 without additional tapes (≤345mm battens), and in zones 1-5 using our Breather Membrane Lap Tape.

Novia® Breather Membrane Lap Tape (BMLT) may need to be used in conjunction with breather membranes for use on roofs to meet BS 5534 wind uplift requirements. Please see individual Breather Membrane technical datasheets for guidance and geographical data.

Two sizes are available from stock: Roll size 50mm x 25m and 75mm x 25m. We recommend using the 75mm width, as a wider tape makes it easier to install the membrane on site and a larger surface area provides a better seal.

Novia® BMLT can be found on NBS Chorus and NBS Source software packages. They are available for specifying as additional products, and fall within a variety of relevant clauses.
